This year’s Book Week focuses on poetry. It is not a Victorian exercise in remembering and repeating. It is not a study of dead white men’s words on a yellowed page. Our Book Week gives life to the written word. Our Book Week gives platform to performance. Our Book Week wants to leave us all with a taste for the fun, for the variety and for the ever presence of poetry in all of our lives.
